Arsen Kurbanov
Born 1969, in Makhachkala, Daghestan. 1988 – graduated from Dzhemal Art College, Makhachkala. 1994 – graduated from I.E. Repin Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Since 2008 — in the teaching staff of easel painting department of the I.E. Repin Institute.

He Jian Hello, Mr. KurbanovI first saw your works about 10 years ago in a gallery located in San Francisco. I thought I was in love with them, and recognized a Vermeer influence in them while they had already developed their own quality and style which were beautifully distinguishable. Your current works seem diverged well from them. Though impressive as your current works are, I personally prefer your works from then.
